entry description
In 2020, the world lost pleasant spring because of Covid-19. Japanese people enjoy cherry blossoms every year. However, this spring, even though they were in full bloom, few people were outside, and most of them wore masks. This photo was taken in Satte City. I saw a couple on the evening. They seemed to be dull, exposed to the afternoon sun. People endured those depressed days, hoping to back to normal life. Regardless of our troubles, cherry blossoms bloomed as last year.about the photographer
When I was a high school student, I got depressed. I lost all motivation to live. I prepared to die. At that time, the world looked different. The sky, buildings, even the grasses on roads had necessity to be there. I tried to record what I saw and what I felt. I went around the city with a camera. Thus, I started to take photos. Now, I live in a small city in the metropolitan area of Japan. I take photos of urban lives mainly in Tokyo. The motivation has not changed since the days when I was walking with a camera in my hometown.back to gallery
