The subjects are small hypogeal architectures carved into the stone and called infernot which, since 2014 have been inscribed in the Unesco World Heritage List as part of ‘The Wine Landscapes of Piedmont:Langhe-Roero and Monferrato’.The photographic project has been carried out with a special camera, equipped with 2 fisheye lenses which produces spherical images (360° on the xy plane-azimuth ; 180° on the vertical plane-height), allowing the photographer to take 360° pictures in confined spaces and not very accessible. The equirectangular projection obtained, subsequently has been transformed into a stereographic representation.about the photographer
Born In Casale Monferrato. After graduating in Architecture at the University of Genoa, he started to devote himself to teaching and researching in the photographic field. He teaches Photography and Digital Images at the University of Genoa. Since 2001 he’s been teaching Photography at the Leardi Institute and Art School in Casale Monferrato. He combines teaching with an intense exhibition activity that sees him present at the Venice Biennale, Alessandria Biennale of Photography, at the Museum of Natural Sciences in Turin, Sant’Agostino Museum in Genoa, as well as the Italian Cultural Institutes in Cologne,Vienne,Prague, Malta and in various italian and foreign cities.back to gallery
