Flatten the real
An ambiguous contact establishes false adjacencies between elements of the real on the surface of the image.
The top bar of the goal (photo 1) seems to coincide with the top of the hedge, contradicting their orthogonal relation to reality.
The ambiguous alignment (photo 2), which aligns a sign and its shadow on the same path, changes the orientation of the horizontal sidewalk to place it on the vertical plane of the panel.
The ambiguous superposition (photo 3) superimposes two visions of the same form. Following the cables, you see the triangular pinion as a planar shape, but looking at their shadows, you will see a pinion bent at a right angle.

For years, I have taken photographs with disposable plastic cameras. Those photos had no aesthetic or even technical pretensions . They sought to show the presence of visual illusions in the real world, while these illusions are usually drawn and printed in books devoted to the psychology of perception. Thus, particular points of view on the lines, shapes and volumes of the world reveal the presence of spatial ambiguities in the three dimensions of reality (photos to be seen on : http://figuresambigues.free.fr/Sommaires/photographies.html).
In 2013, my brother gave me a digital compact as a gift, my photographs gradually moved away from this first research, to become more formal and take more classic themes: shadows, streets, façades,... But in each of these categories and almost in every picture it is possible to feel the expressiveness of inanimate things.
