The skateboard park of Venice Beach, California is quite an exciting arena luring all kinds to test their skills in the concrete bowl. This was my first time shooting people in an active sport and so it was all new to me. Using a wide angle lens I got close to the action. While shooting I saw this mother, with the wind in her hair, handling the skateboard with ease while her daughter follows with grit determination to keep up.back to gallery
