entry description
The city of Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany has a rich history. City of the Emperor in the Early Middle Ages and industrial heartland until the fall of the German Democratic Republic. Now the city is transforming itself into a science hotspot, especially in the "Wissenschaftshafen" (science harbour). Around the harbour basin, right next the river Elbe, the old warehouses are being converted into offices, laboratories and apartments. In between, the heritage is preserved by volunteers: perfectly restored freight ships, trains, cranes and other machinery form an open-air museum for everyone.about the photographer
I'm curious, tech-savvy and not good at telling stories. This combination probably led to my fascination with photography. With photos I can explore the world and tell stories about it, that could not be put into words. My day job is always close the visual medium. I’m a freelance video mixer and sound and lighting technician. Give me something technical and I can work with it.back to gallery
