entry description
Preah Khan is the one of the ancient temple monuments of Angkor period in Siem Reap, Cambodia built by King Jayavarman Vll in the late 12th century. Unlike the Angkor Wat, Bayon, Ta Keo or the other pyramid (mountain) style temples, Preah Khan is flat in design, but is really spacious and beautiful. Numerous stone buildings and galleries are connected in every cardinal directions and the stone passages of the temple complex will lead you somewhere...maybe to the other side of exit or to some hidden chambers deep inside the sanctuary.Actually you don't have to worry about being lost because most of the routes is very straight and you can just follow the way. But due to every chamber you pass has different impression, you may feel like you are going through the many different layers of the world in horizontally.
