entry description
A photo part of my serie Satoumi, a serie of photographs of coastal landscapes in relation to human presence. This is a pier that is part of a former Bunker complex on Utah Beach during WWII. The ghost like figures made me think of all the soldiers that had been there before, maybe even supplying the U boats that were used in WW II. Therefore the name " fishing for U- Boats"about the photographer
I am a photographer based in the Netherlands. My interest is in fine art photography with a focus on landscape photography, although I love to experiment with other forms as well, i.e still life and architecture. The photographs I make are minimalistic in form and are either made with soft pastel tones or in black and white.I hope to create moments of quiet and wonder with my photography in a very busy and hectic world. Characteristic for my work is the tranquility of it. By searching for this tranquil composition I try to find my own peace of mind.
