Hummingbirds of Costa Rica
In my work, I try to capture these natural beauties and lend duration to the moment. In doing so, I want to draw the viewer into the picture with my photos.
Of course I would like to present my photographic works and share them with you.

entry description
I was able to photograph these colourful Fiery-throated Hummingbirds in Costa Rica this year. These pictures were taken with a 400mm telephoto lens from a distance of about three to four metres. Hummingbirds live mainly in the mountain regions in the evergreen cloud forests. They are the only birds in the world that can fly sideways and backwards. They can reach flight speeds of up to 95 km/h. Their heart can beat up to 1200 times per minute in flight. To achieve this performance, the little flying acrobats need a lot of energy. They have to consume at least their own body weight in the form of sugar every day. They prefer to drink nectar from a wide variety of flowers. For me, hummingbirds are among the most beautiful and fascinating animals.about the photographer
