Les Enfers
For almost ten years the chase led me to various styles and influences augmenting my skill set as photographer. In the year 2012 came to time to bundle those influences and impressions into a single vision. This was the moment I decided to devote my passion to black and white fine art photography.

entry description
At the very edge of Finistère (France), in the Iroise Sea, a handful of lighthouses brave the Atlantic winter storms. For over a century, wind and waves have burst and whipped against the ancient walls in a constant battle between nature and the man-made. Stoically, they light the way for sailors through the darkness and shallows, towards the safe harbours of the Breton coast. Starting almost 150 years ago, they were built and maintained with enormous effort. The life of a lighthouse keeper in such a remote place, in the middle of the sea, full of deafening noise and perpetual dampness is put to such a test, that these lighthouses are called "Les enfers" (The hells). "Les enfers" shall be more than a series, it is a tribute to all those, who have dedicated their lives to these lighthouses, to light the way for us, the lost and the seekers.about the photographer
I stepped into the world of photography in the year 2000, which initiated a change of my perception about how I experience my environment. During that time, a strong feeling inflamed in me to capture all kind of moments and situations around me. Chased by emotions and haste, like a little child exploring a new world, there wasn't any plan or vision where this journey would go.For almost ten years the chase led me to various styles and influences augmenting my skill set as photographer. In the year 2012 came to time to bundle those influences and impressions into a single vision. This was the moment I decided to devote my passion to black and white fine art photography.
