entry description
In the series “External Signs” I am looking for architectural structures as a physical expression of emotional values. The colours reinforce the emotional side that the motifs radiate. The essence of my pictures is the abstract, reduced composition, which is determined by proportions and the unusual perspective or close view. On this basis, I develop the degree of abstraction in my photos, which leads the viewer to a metaphor for something that lies beyond the photographed subject below the visible surface. This also includes the titles of my pictures, which still support this. What is depicted eludes simple reproduction, becomes a means of transport for my subjective representation of the world. To achieve this, I developed an aesthetic language that has an individual character. I work purely intuitively and try to find an expression for my visions as a poetic and aesthetic appropriation of life and timelessness. For me, every picture is a piece of the puzzle for a lyrical approach to my subjective visions and at the same time a chance for the viewer to make their own perceptions and experiences. My photographic works explore questions of reality and discover answers as poetic illusions. This is not an easy topic as it is about the philosophy of aesthetics and perception. I use it to create images that trigger feelings in the viewer, suggest something. In this way one can get closer to reality than reality itself allows.about the photographer
