Leaving Red Sands Forts
There's something chillingly familiar about the Red Sands Forts. Their distant silhouettes, perching stolid yet menacing on the horizon, are uncannily reminiscent of the Martian tripod machines from War of the Worlds and also the At-At walkers from The Empire Strikes Back. Even up close, it's impossible to avoid the sci-fi comparisons.
Isolated and other-worldly, these metal monsters are strange and eerie.
With this in mind a wanted to give the impression that they were walking across the sea on their mission to destroy mankind.
