“Infra-Sculptures” is my journey of reconciliation with the uncertainty of our time and my own life. I took comfort in the shapes of everyday objects, pieces of our world that are ordinary and overlooked. In these connections, I recognized aspects of myself within each object. They too had contorted and mutated under the onslaught pressures of external forces. Irrevocably changed and yet they still possessed a distinctive beauty all their own. In the manipulation of colors, inspiring a range of sentiments from tranquility, to chaos, and even a touch of humor, I uncover the inherent spirit of each object as it changes with the new mutations of its form.
Without barriers in her creative research, she tries her hand at photography, collages, and various experiments. In her work, Elli investigates the relationship between experiences of PTSD healing, queer and immigrant identities.

entry description
In a series of experimental photographs, “Infra-Sculptures” investigates the notions of the everyday through conceptual readymade-like sculpture translated through the photographic lens. In a recent evolution of my practice, I explore the realm of multimedia art and the intersections of seemingly disparate mediums. Drawing on the visual vocabulary of Pop Art established by modern masters such as Andy Warhol, the typology within the collection features cartons of liquid morphing, leaking, and struggling to maintain their shape amidst isolating backgrounds of vibrant neon colors.“Infra-Sculptures” is my journey of reconciliation with the uncertainty of our time and my own life.
