entry description
The Phantom Tenant is a series of photographs that aims to disrupt the tradition of self portraiture to explore the spiritual and psychological ramifications of isolation and grief. The work follows the artist depicted as various forms of a phantom to both reveal and conceal deeply personal experiences of female selfhood within the narrative context of gothic literature. And, with reference to Victorian era Spiritualism the series attempts to discuss the complexity of disappointment, loss and the haunting of personal tragedy.about the photographer
