Julia Kanichtcheva germany
title
the drought
She has been working as a graphic designer in the media industry for many years. In addition to her main job, she has a passionate love for photography and art. She has been dedicated to photography for a long time and has recently specialized in analogue methods, developing her photos by hand. She is particularly fascinated by working with expired film. She deliberately uses a defective old camera to achieve additional effects such as coarse grain and irregular lighting that make each photo unique. She follows the motto "Back to the roots!" and develops the films personally in the darkroom. She is most passionate about landscape photography, combining classic elements of nature with analog black and white photography to create unique works of art that are imbued with character and emotion.
