Proud momma with two cubs in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Took this shot from my front porch, with a Nikon D850, 150-600 mm telephoto lens. During cub season mother bears tend to bring their cubs out of the forest into neighborhoods, to protect the cubs from aggressive male bears. For several weeks we enjoy "cub season," and when they grow a little larger, mom takes them back into the forest. It's fascinating for humans to witness but it's rather frustrating for our dogs.about the photographer
