The boy was feeding an elephant. To this boy, the elephant named Y Khamsen is a great friend. The boy is the son of Y Vinh, who is an M'Nông ethnic minority, living in Dak Lak province (Central Highland, Vietnam). Y Vinh is one of 14 mahout in Lak, he has been taking care of an elephant named Y Khamsen for 28 years.about the photographer
Viet Van Tran was born in 1971 in Ha Noi, Vietnam, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cultural Studies from Ha Noi Cultural University in 1996. Upon graduating, he began a career in journalism.
