entry description
Han's works mainly focus on the tension between humans and the environment. He collectively refers to this mesmerizing tension as "confrontation." Confrontation is not hostility or dilemma, but more like a long-existing situation. If humans actively wander, estrange, live, and think in the changing city, the discreet positions generated by these scattered points will form the basis of confrontation and eventually form a "confrontation field." The aura of this field is not necessarily oppressive or binary. The humans and buildings in the images are thinking ouward (of the image), and they also reflect the artist's thinking inwards. This confrontation exists well inside and much beyond the image. As an individual moving in the city, the artist constantly feels the subtle energy of confrontation during the life experience of travel or settlement. Urbanization has accelerated the confrontation, and the epidemic has magnified the confrontation and solidified it into a visual atmosphere, forming a metaphysical picture in the artist's eyes. The metaphysical moment flies by, and the twinkling shutter captures the confrontation between art and life and that between the artist and the object. The confrontation behind the shutter has never happened and has never ended.about the photographer
