entry description
Bauhaus artist Marianne Brandt was especially distinguished as a designer in the metal workshop. As a photographer, she experimented with double exposures and reflections. As a homage à Marianne Brandt, the series shows double exposures of the Bauhaus main building in Dessau in direct print on metal (aluminum dibond butler finish). The double exposures of functional traffic zones (entrances, staircases, corridors) of the building designed by Walter Gropius are created from the same negative, thus mirroring the subject in itself. A creative look at Bauhaus architecture true to Walter Gropius' slogan "Art and technology - a new unity".about the photographer
