Still life Reborn
More specifically the collection focuses on various Still Life subjects, in this case food, flowers and fruit. The subject matter is much the same as in the original Old Masters, but the use of modern photographic methods and lighting enables the subjects to be represented in a distinctively but subtly different way.
Combining the old with the new is something I feel is a very satisfying way of showing my art, in the knowledge that viewers and potential owners will find the works interesting, both on a technical and artistic front,

This collection takes Dutch Old Masters as a starting point, and then moves our perception of these works to the modern day.More specifically the collection focuses on various Still Life subjects, in this case food, flowers and fruit. The subject matter is much the same as in the original Old Masters, but the use of modern photographic methods and lighting enables the subjects to be represented in a distinctively but subtly different way.

about the photographer
Dmitry Oskin moved to live and work in London from St Petersburg, Russia in 2009 having trained there as a stylist working on film and photo shoots. Since moving to London he has developed his career in photography . He has experienced various cultures through travels to South America, South East Asia and islands in the Indian Ocean which have deeply affected his artistic outlook. His work in the UK to date has focused on fashion photography, with this debut exhibition for VZ Gallery being a departure into the world of art. Currently he is working for Russian and English tv networks as well as undertaking fashion and private commission photo shoots in UK, France and Australia .back to gallery
