Island in the Sky is one of the three distinct districts that make up Canyonlands National Park, all of which have their own unique terrain. Island in the Sky consists of a vast mesa with steep, craggy walls, and sits about 2,000 feet above the Colorado and Green Rivers. The formation of this sublime landscape has formed over the course of 150 million years.back to gallery
