Ruddy Kingfisher:Firebird
The red kingfisher in the picture is a little purple because it is a subspecies of the Ryukyu red kingfisher.
This photo was taken in Ishigaki Island, Okinawa Prefecture.
I was sweating like a waterfall, and I shot in a tent under the scorching heat of midsummer.
I remember it being very hot.
Over 20 years of photography experience.
I am photographing wild birds in Japan.
