Water scenery of flooded cave

entry description
The photo shows a waterscape of a flooded cave decorated with stalactites. Photographing underwater in flooded caves is a great challenge. It is absolutely dark in the caves and the photographer, in the role of a cave diver, has to "move" all the underwater lighting and photographic equipment hundreds of meters into the interior of the caves. A total of five underwater flashes and other special underwater photographic equipment were used to take this photograph. This image was taken while cave diving in the "Chun-Ya" cave in Yucatan, Mexico.about the photographer
I come from the Czech Republic. I have been a photographer for a long time and after I started diving in 2003, I took this hobby to the underwater world. So now I shoot both "above water" and "under water". I have visited different parts of the world, from warm southern oceans and seas, to geographically temperate places, to northern areas with very cold water. In recent years I have focused on photography in flooded cave systems in the Yucatan.back to gallery
