Commute
Here we have the shard imaged from London Bridge train station. It was quite a risky shot to take as the station is a very busy transport hub and you're not allowed to take photos unless you have permission which can be difficult to have approved. I wanted to produce an image which shows the shard in all its glory. Relying on the luminosity and and the station design which draws you into the shard making it the main subject matter of the image.
Leading lines are vital wherever you find a perfect location to shoot architecture. Being shot at a train station on a busy day people aren't really drawn to the architectural wonders of the station building curving towards the building. People just want to end their commute and haven't got time to be stopping and admiring. For me this photo symbolises if you stop and take in what's around you even when it's hectic you can find art no matter how inspiring it is when no one else is paying attention.
Architecture photography has always been my main passion in photography, shooting a wonderful piece of architecture but shooting it in a fine art style to really bring out the structure and make it the centre of attention is key. Highlights, contrast, shadows can truly bring out a building in a new light and give it artistic elegance which is what I strive to do with my work. Fine art architecture is still even now something I'm constantly learning and refining my skills. Post production is also key to a fine art architectural image and one of my favourite processes in the creation of an image. Just seeing the before and after is really astounding and comparing that to what you were shooting at the beginning of your career is really inspiring.

entry description
My architectural photography work I enjoy creating images which are real but don't look it. I picture in my mind what I want the image to look like post production. For me composition and lighting are the 2 most important aspects to my work. Here we have the shard imaged from London Bridge train station. about the photographer
Photography for me is a medium where you constantly grow and refine your skills and interests. My journey in photography began 10 years ago when I was 16, now two college diplomas and a university degree later I am a professional photographer.Architecture photography has always been my main passion in photography, shooting a wonderful piece of architecture but shooting it in a fine art style to really bring out the structure and make it the centre of attention is key.
