Daniel Ceng turkey
title
We withstand, we fight back, as Ukrainians
Instead, they rise.
Whether they are children whose dads died in battles against Russian troops, or elderly women who survived attacks in war-torn cities, Ukrainians face the pain and fear with positiveness, bravery, resilience, persistence and love, conquering the scars of the never-ending war that has taken countless lives across the Eastern European country.
Between March and August 2022 and in October the same year, the 22-year-old photographer travelled across war-scarred cities, towns, villages and the frontline, to document how the Russian invasion has caused significant impacts on the livelihood of the Eastern European Country, and how they withstood the devastation through unity, togetherness and supports of the international community. It's always the spirits of Ukrainians that helped them through quagmires and crisis in life.
