A small group of clouds obscure the sun except for the tip of a butte positioned against the moon. Captured in 830nm infrared, this image tells the story of a relationship between the two most prominent heavenly bodies visible in our skies. Sol, off camera casting some of it's light on Earth, and Luna in the background. Though we are necessarily taken by all of our problems and short range experiences, personal and societal, we are nevertheless participants in a dance billions of years old, riding the sphere we call home as it waltzes with our nearest heavenly neighbor.about the photographer
