Fiesta-Gol Time!
Ivan Monzón of Spain Under 21 national soccer team heads towards goal in the action that led to his side's 0-5 goal during the UEFA Under 21 Championship 2023 Group B qualifying soccer match between Malta and Spain at the Tony Bezzina Stadium, on September 08, 2023, in Paola, Malta, with the "Fiesta" illuminated dome background of the Basilica of Our Lady of Victories parish church in Senglea, Malta.
Description:
I had been on the "look out" for this capture the entire second half. I positioned myself in a good position with the illuminated "Fiesta" backdrop of the church, hoping that a good "aerial" action would come along in the best possible way - and no better than an action which led to the Spanish Under-21 national soccer team scoring their 5th goal against Malta. With a not-so-good artificial lights around I knew it was not easy. ISO pushed to 10000 on my Canon 400mm f/2.8L IS II USM coupled with the Canon EOS R3, I shot a burst of around six captures with only the first one being the one which depicted the moment I was looking for.
