Born in Vologda, Russia in 1974, Maria draws inspiration from multicultural influences and masterpieces of world art. In 2022, she emigrated, which influenced her artistic practice, shifting towards self-discovery and assimilation in a new space and culture.
Immersing herself in the world of fashion, she collaborated with clothing manufacturers in Moscow, New York, and London, finding success in both fashion and commercial photography.”
Her next step was to delve into fine art photography.This allowed her to finally develop her own style, based on classical painting and studio portraits from the early days of photography. She learned to approach each shoot thoughtfully, plan shots in advance, and create deeper portraits.
Currently, she lives in California with her son and husband, striving to develop her artistic direction, participate in exhibitions, competitions, and collaborate with galleries.
