Nature Concrete
This series is part of my work called iMAGIES URBAINES : rhythms, colors, perspectives and reflections are the components of these images. Urban steel, glass, wood and concrete are the raw materials. The magic of another reality is revealed in these photographs, constructed like paintings with cubist and futuristic touches.
No editing or retouching is required for these iMAGIES URBAINES to exist!
Original digital photographs, obtained by a double vertical-horizontal homothety, taken in 2023 in the Paris region, France.
Very early on, my artistic vision and sensibility were strongly influenced by the great currents of Modern Art (cubism, futurism, constructivism, surrealism) and their artists (such as Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, Maria Helena Vieira Da Silva, Alexandre Rodtchenko and Mark Rothko). All these influences have subsequently found their way into the aesthetics I've set out to develop.
Attracted by the rhythmic repetition of geometric shapes and the interplay of light, color and materials, I soon became interested in the urban landscapes of business districts, industrial zones and construction sites. Using the structures of these "ultra-urban" environments as a starting point, I aim to create paintings in the colors of steel, concrete, glass and wood.
Yet these images of another reality are simply photographs of our reality: either self-sufficient in terms of the frame they are given, or with a double homotheticity, vertical and horizontal. In the end, the visual effects thus created are simply an amplification of reality and its subjective perspectives.
Theis approach has enabled me to emphasize the geometric structures, colors and rhythms that make them up, thus inventing a new reality of reality.
No editing or retouching is required for these iMAGIES URBAINES to exist!

entry description
Nature Concrete is one of my latest areas of work on our ‘ultra-urban’ environment is to bring out the ‘green’ and the ‘natural’ in our artificial and rationalised urban settings, like an explosion. This series is part of my work called iMAGIES URBAINES : rhythms, colors, perspectives and reflections are the components of these images. about the photographer
A passionate photographer for almost 30 years, self-taught after a year in a preparatory art workshop for the Beaux Arts, I live and work between France and Ecuador. Alongside a professional career in the fields of graphic design, publishing and packaging, I have continued to cultivate and deepen my practice of photography over the years.Very early on, my artistic vision and sensibility were strongly influenced by the great currents of Modern Art (cubism, futurism, constructivism, surrealism) and their artists (such as Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, Maria Helena Vieira Da Silva, Alexandre Rodtchenko and Mark Rothko).
