entry description
This photograph was taken when Keryn was the reigning Miss Scotland and was an addition to her wider promotional material. With this shot I wanted to create a soft beauty look: clamshell lighting was used to achieve this and she was back lit to give her an almost celestial appearance. The fan in her hair gives the portrait energy and it also gives Keryn an air of power and authority within the frame.about the photographer
Daniel Taylor lives in Edinburgh and works as an Archive Producer on television documentaries. He was inspired to pursue photography after working as a Production Assistant on magazine editorials and catalogue shoots in the summer of 2014. During that time, he observed some true greats of the medium at work, such as Colette De Barros, Tom Craig and Fred Meylan. His photographic work has been used in a range of publications from The Radio Times to Amateur Photographer and the BBC website. Daniel is a member of The Edinburgh Photographic Society.back to gallery
