Unseen Footsteps
I formed my composition from the ground floor looking upwards in order for the wrought iron bannister rail to lead the viewers eye as the stairs spiralled upwards. I processed in a black and white finish to enable the underside of the stairs to contain the eye in the centre of the image using a combination of light and shadow. I named the image in relation to reports of paranormal activity being associated with the stairs which have never been explained

The Tulip Staircase is located in the Queen's House Museum in London UK, The ornate, wrought iron structure was the first geometric self-supporting spiral stair in Britain.I formed my composition from the ground floor looking upwards in order for the wrought iron bannister rail to lead the viewers eye as the stairs spiralled upwards. I live in Ayrshire on the west coast of Scotland and my passion for photography has grown over the years. My main interests include Architecture, Landscape and Seascape. Over the past few years I have become more immersed in the Black and White Fine Art genre and predominately focus my time and attention into learning and developing more of my photography in this field.back to gallery
