Pioppeti in Golena // Poplars in Floodplain
This short visual story is set along the Po River in the Floodplain and portrays the poplar groves enveloped in water and fog, which the observer can use to ignite within himself feelings of tranquility or bewilderment, peace or disorientation.
Starting from 2014, after a long interruption, he found inspiration in the area where he lives, the Po Delta Park, and began to take black and white shots with a minimalist and sometimes even abstract approach, his becomes a narrative of a dreamlike landscape, suspended between dream and reality, at the same time fantasy but realistic.
He continues his personal photographic research now directed towards the exclusive use of the square format in the composition of images.

PIETRO ABBAGNATO was born in Rovigo, Italy in 1962 where he still lives, and has always been passionate about photography, a passion passed on from his father.Starting from 2014, after a long interruption, he found inspiration in the area where he lives, the Po Delta Park, and began to take black and white shots with a minimalist and sometimes even abstract approach, his becomes a narrative of a dreamlike landscape, suspended between dream and reality, at the same time fantasy but realistic.
