Iceland Northern Lights
By this point, the internet arrived on the scene and I decided to enroll in the New York Institute of Photography where I learned the basics of what makes a great photograph. Once I completed that program, I became intentional about practicing and honing my craft. I've always had a love for God's creation and what better way of experiencing it than through the majesty of the national parks? Every time I traveled, I had my camera with me. I read everything I could on light, exposure, composition, and learning to see. Digital photography transformed everything with its immediate feedback that afforded me the luxury of making adjustments on the fly. I also started attending photography workshops which combined my growing passion for this art form with my love for the outdoors. This really helped push my photography to new levels. As I continue to perfect my craft, I want to magnify the Creator by sharing his awesome creation with the rest of the world.

entry description
On my first trip to Iceland, seeing the northern lights was at the top of my list. I was fortunate enough to see them several nights in a row but this night was truly magical because it looked like a rainbow right over Vestahorn, complete with reflection!about the photographer
It all began in my sophomore year of high school when two of my friends introduced me to photography. Later that fall, my dad bought me my first Canon camera and it was love at first sight. I began primarily documenting life events, birthday parties, and gatherings. It was also a hit with the ladies but that's a story for another day. It was fun documenting my life and I kept it up throughout college. In medical school, I started to do some traveling to San Francisco, New York and national parks and expanded the scope of my photography. Unfortunately, my captures didn't always reflect the splendor that I witnessed with the naked eye.By this point, the internet arrived on the scene and I decided to enroll in the New York Institute of Photography where I learned the basics of what makes a great photograph.
