entry description
From the cliffs of lava rock, Kvernufoss waterfall is a hidden gem in Iceland. Located in close proximity to the iconic Skógafoss, its more popular neighbor, Kvernufoss offers a quieter, more intimate experience. I loved the hike through this striking setting. The contrast between the raging river and the rich canyon drew me in—literally. To capture the flow through the magnificent gorge, I positioned myself in the river for a long exposure. The river becomes the subject, with its impressive movement contrasting against the dramatic canyon background.about the photographer
