entry description
Photographing at the water's edge is one of my favorite things to do when I am not surfing. At this location in the Galapagos Islands, there were no surfable waves, so the choice was clear. And besides, I didn't have a board with me. A four-minute exposure does nice things with clouds, and the bonus is that you have time to explore the surrounding area while the shutter is open, as long as you don't inadvertently kick the tripod or hang out in front of the camera. Actually, sometimes that can be good too, but I don't make it a habit. Using ND filters? Yes, that is a habit, and it is quite addictive.about the photographer
