These gnarly wind-swept Hawthorns are tiny yet so feisty, animated and full of character! they grow amidst the granite rocks in the rugged moorland and clitter slopes of Dartmoor, Devon. Each such lone Hawthorn has its own Tor and territory. They change texture and color each season: in spring and summer, they grow sweet-smelling flowers and leaves, in autumn red berries and in winter they are bare with their spiky thorns and mossy trunks. In the rare occasion of thick snow, they stand out on the vast landscape and steal the show.
