Centinel Glow
This was made on the last day of my one week trip to the Redwoods. Typically, fog is a common occurrence in this region. Unfortunately, during this trip, the entire week, the fog was absent, which lead to harsh sunny lighting which were not ideal for woodland photography. It leads to a chaotic environment with harsh lighting, ultimately leading to difficult compositions.
Fortunately, on my last day of the trip, my prayers were answered. I was gifted with a beautiful fog which lasted few hours. This scene which I had exposed the year prior with slightly different composition, was exposed on Fuji Provia 100F, scanned, then converted to Black and White.

about the photographer
I am a Primary Care physician based in San Diego, California. I am also a Landscape Photographer. Landscape Photography has always been a passion of mine. Having a passion for the outdoors, I have a special appreciation for the nature surrounding us. My goal is to bring this awareness to the rest of us with my photography. As the world becomes more chaotic, cities become more congested and grow larger, the natural world around us is shrinking. I am hoping that through my eyes, you also would have the same appreciation and passion for our beautiful planet. I am hoping to continue to evolve as a photographer, and as a conscious human and make an impact, no matter how small.back to gallery
