Weaknesses of the oceans
Sustainable practices support ecological, human and economic health and vitality.
This series refers to the current problem experienced in the oceans and seas.
They represent 50% of oxygen production in the world and today they are also affected by the increase in global temperature, pollution, among others, which also promotes the extinction of species and changes, for example, in pH.
Other problems are associated with excessive fishing, whether for food or illegal hunting of some species, environmental problems associated with pollution and microplastics lead us to a chaotic problem, such as large floating plastic islands, which not only affect the fish but also the that we eat at the table.
The series was created in a sustainable way, using colored cards, reused masks, plates and cutlery, empty cans and tries to create warning signs for these situations.
However, having a small digital camera, I started to acquire analog equipment and develop the photography learning activity in a self-taught way, using very old and medium format machines. My favorite camera is the Zeiss Ikon Nettar.
I have participated in many contest and teach photography for students in schools in portugal.
There are some awards:
2017 1st place in still life, at the Xposure festival, in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.

about the photographer
My name is Antonio Bernardino Martins Coelho, I am from a small village in the north of Portugal, where I live. I am 40 years old, married and father of two girls. I work as an electrical engineer. A taste for painting was evident in me early on, but it was only in 2010 after a trip to Cuba that I became interested in photography, having captured a lot of images. However, having a small digital camera, I started to acquire analog equipment and develop the photography learning activity in a self-taught way, using very old and medium format machines. My favorite camera is the Zeiss Ikon Nettar.
