My latest project of love, made possible with the participation of over 20 Down Syndrome Children. "A Little Piece Of Heaven" is a celebration of the uniqueness and beauty of children born with the syndrome. Down syndrome children are placed center staged, portrayed not as subjects of sympathy but as vibrant contributors to society, as the images focus on their many abilities instead of their limitations. Whether it is artistic expression, musical prowess, dancing, acting, excelling in sports, the project underscores the unique individuality and richness found in each one of them. In every image, the purity of their souls, innocence and joy is easy to see and I can only hope that the viewer is taken on the same deeply emotional journey that I took when I was photographing them.
