entry description
Suspended at a height of more than 25 meters above the atrium of K21 in Düsseldorf is Tomás Saraceno’s temporary exihbition: In Orbit. The installation appears as a surreal landscape: an ocean of clouds and floating planetary bodies. The physically accessible work is constructed of near-transparent steel mesh that interlaces three levels spanning the glass dome’s immensity. Five air-filled spheres open the layers of the net structure that encompasses an area of 2500 square meters.about the photographer
Born in Argentina, he began photography in Architecture School and hasn't stopped since. He believes photography captures the convergence of cities, buildings, and people. His work spans diverse scales and types, from exteriors to interiors, documenting how architecture interacts with its surroundings and inhabitants. He revisits projects to show their aging and the evolution of their environment. Over time, he has focused on storytelling through photographic moments and portraits, using framing, composition, and lighting to create unique, memorable images.back to gallery
