Nina Papiorek
germany
title
Akribie
My photography is candid street photography, but I carry them out with the utmost care. Sometimes this means accepting long waiting times or returning to a location several times. My photos are first created in my head and I need to work hard on their realization.
With a focus on architecture, graphic elements and line work, Nina’s images convey the impression of loneliness and being lost in the urban environment. A minimalist approach runs through all of her work like a common thread, which is underlined by the fact that she uses black and white without exception.
Nina is an multiple internationally award-winning photographer whose work has been featured in a large number of exhibitions and publications worldwide. She has contributed to several book projects and is the author of online photography courses.
Nina has been a part of “Soul of Street”, the german magazine for street photography, for several years is and co-founder of the Düsseldorf street collective “dorfcollective”.
