Recent Tuscany
The novelty of these spaces is evident in the vivid colors, which have not yet been distorted and degraded by time. The buildings are simple, and their appearance is dominated by their technological additions. Life takes place protected by barriers and fences. These are paratactic spaces that I felt natural to represent as fragments.
I have a degree in architecture and a PhD in urban planning.
I have been teaching urban planning at the University of Florence since 2000.
I am an amateur photographer.

entry description
Tuscan cities are growing. Thanks to some academic research I did a while ago, I have a map of all the urban spaces that have been built since 2007, occupying land that was previously free of construction. Over the last three years, I have visited these places with my camera, trying to summarize their aesthetic. The novelty of these spaces is evident in the vivid colors, which have not yet been distorted and degraded by time. The buildings are simple, and their appearance is dominated by their technological additions. Life takes place protected by barriers and fences. These are paratactic spaces that I felt natural to represent as fragments.
