Also questioning the very essence of culinary photography and its place in contemporary art photography, which is today relegated to recipe magazines aimed at homemakers in search of the best recipe to impress their guests!
In 2025, it is time to evolve this artistic practice and restore its grandeur to this multi-sensory art that is so powerful!
The essence of emotion, emotion through the senses.
Linking beauty and aesthetics to well-known everyday products, whether they are noble or not, natural or processed, to please both the eye and the palate.
Elevating food by presenting it as a work of art, without confining itself to the limits of a kitchen.
Beauty in the service of goodness.
BUT NOT ONLY THAT; It is about using multiple mediums such as graphic design and plastic arts techniques alongside fine art photography to unveil a secret, convey a message, captivate the eye without taste, evoke laughter, surprise, or disrupt.
All of this, sprinkled with a strong and powerful aesthetic.
This unique and innovative new art adheres to no code or category but draws heavily on well-known references, senses, and artistic standards to deploy and elevate them freely. A multi-sensory and multi-disciplinary practice, adding culinary photography, graphic design, and plastic arts.
BEHIND THIS CONCEPT; Marion Dutheil, graphic designer and culinary photographer.
After studying arts in Quebec, France and Italy, she turned to graphic design and quickly began her professional career specializing in advertising, TV, and cinema graphics.
Her love for plastic arts and photography is never far away, as she continues to create alongside and meticulously notes her hundreds of ideas for future series in a notebook.
Today, she offers her work exclusively in photography, merging her ultimate passions: gastronomy and plastic arts. This is done for the pleasure of the senses and to give meaning.
