In The Lap Of Nature
The visual language of this project was shaped by multiple visits to the site during its construction, allowing me to closely observe its evolution. Each visit deepened my visual and emotional connection to the space, influencing how I captured its final design.
Designed by Earthscape Studio, the structure rests at the foothills of the Western Ghats, where the whispers of a forest meet the rhythms of the land, blending seamlessly with its surroundings. The tunnel-shaped form feels both intentional and organic, as though summoned by the earth itself.
Through the lens, I sought to portray the building not just as a static entity but as a living, breathing presence shaped by light, shadow, and time. Each frame is a meditation on coexistence, humility, and the timeless dialogue between human creation and the natural world.
Ar. Syam Sreesylam. These experiences not only deepened my understanding of architecture but also fueled my passion for capturing its essence through both photography and film. Today, I am a partner and the creative director of Studio IKSHA, where I continue to explore and innovate in architectural storytelling.
