Javier Arcenillas
Javier Arcenillas photographer and editor Photographer and Editor, Graduate in Evolutionary Psychology from the Complutense University of Madrid. He is a Professor of Documentary Photography at the PICA School.

All of his projects and his photography are developed in the long term. Framed within the New Documentary, where his essays are constructed as stories with a visual narrative fragmented into utopian borders. He is shown presenting an emotional photograph that explores the psychology of social realities and the portrait of territories in conflict formed and fabled from the collective imagination.

Based in Madrid and dedicated to photography since 1993, he has received International Awards, Arts Press Award, KODAK Young Photographer, European Social Fund Grant, UNICEF Prize, Sony World Photography, Eugene Smith Grant 2013, Getty Images Grant 2015, ISEM PRIX 2022, POYI 2023 and World Press Photo. In 2013 he entered the dictionary of Spanish photographers. Among the latest photobooks published by him are UFOPRESENCES by Editorial RM and LATIDOAMERICA Self-edited available on his Instagram channel.
