Naturaleza de obra
Naturaleza: Nature.
Obra: on-site construction, art work, workmanship.
The series arose from mutliple visits to on-site constructions in Buenos Aires, Argentina between 2011 and 2012. This particular selection captures a visit to the construction site of what is now the municipal government headquarters designed by Foster and Partners.
Naturaleza de Obra seeks to portray the place in which the physical birth of a project is expressed through its own Nature. The components follow the logic of order and disorder, forming lines, textures, and patterns specific to the materials in their true expression. A whole ecosystem with its own rules and norms. Organization. Disorganization. Black. White.
From the beginning of my studies I've been particulary attracted to the nature of the in-site construction and through the years I could create a series called 'naturaleza de obra' in which the the physical birth of a project is expressed through systems of order and disorder. Pilling systems, materials in their true expression, textures, patterns, a whole ecosystem with its own rules.
