I shot the simple, spontaneous and enthusiastic joy of childhood in a small village in southern China.about the photographer
My education included studying languages and literatures from 6 different countries. I think that is what prompted my interest in story-telling which I transferred into my photography. I live in Torino, Italy, and pursue personal projects in my own backyard and abroad. My work explores the way people live in often very harsh environments, and how so very often they offer a stranger a cup of tea, a cigarette, or just their smile. My approach to them comes first from candid shots after which interaction may follow.I love photography because it is the most powerful means for documenting our current times, what we wear, like, enjoy and how we interact with our environment and with each other.
