Cutoff
A sense of landscape photography is more than bringing great sights, appraised pictures of mother nature's landmarks presented in the most spectacular way. There's no such photography without journey, thus no journey without road. A road of any kind, but for landscapist the more desolated path is, the greater chance of finding a place of photographic Zen of his own. That's why we use byways, not main roads or highways. The series is a small part of my own cutoffs. Where the route itself had more importance than the place it leads to.

about the photographer
My name is Piotr Wyrzykowski, currently living in Olsztyn, Poland. My education credentials are in the area of landscaping and real estate management with occupational experience in project management. Project orientation helps a lot in understanding processess of my supreme passion, photography. Since my main subject is landscape and nature photography, planning is a key factor of finding a perfect frame. I spend a lot of time exploring local trails, visualising all elements - the sun, the moon, weather and stars on the sky, all of them to primarily present a perfect subject of photography. I try to be as versatile as possible, therefore my portfolio has no unique technique or style. I like macro photography, not forgetting to place a bug's life in his environment. I love good architecure in photography, a pure and simple forms. I like astrophotography in landscape. When possible I try to capture wildlife and nature. Using various focal lengths - from fisheye to telephoto, capturing different scenes - from macro to ultrawide lanscape panoramas, I present my point of seeing things I love. That's Warmia mostly, a region I live in. Come and see, it's small but plentiful.back to gallery
