A-MEN
Every day, at 8 pm, a liturgical ritual gets started. Every day A- MAN carries a cross, that serves to build a piece of a stall that will be used to sell fruit and vegetable at Porta Palazzo. Gestures are repeated dozens, hundreds of times , they takie wooden planks , bars metal and metal crosses. This ” ritual ” takes place every day , all year round under the summer sun or the wind of a thunderstorm. I met these Arabic men, each of them with a past and a future that they carry forward clutching a cross with their hands.
I started photographing objects and things, but I understand that you can create greater empathy with those who looks at a picture, when you are in front of a human being in his/her extravagance, his/her defects and peculiarities. I love black and white. I love the synthesis of a picture. In my photographs I try to mix these elements as much as possible, to create something that can excite the viewer.

entry description
This project was born on my way home. I was struck by the image of man carrying a huge cross in his hands. I realized that I was at Porta Palazzo, one of the largest squares of Turin , which houses every day one of the largest outdoor markets in Europe . So I began to document the work of these men .Every day, at 8 pm, a liturgical ritual gets started. about the photographer
Born in 1983 in Turin. I’m an art director and I love photography. The moment I decided that I wanted to capture the reality is when I saw a documentary from Annie Leibovitz, and since then my hunger for photography has kept growing day by day.I started photographing objects and things, but I understand that you can create greater empathy with those who looks at a picture, when you are in front of a human being in his/her extravagance, his/her defects and peculiarities. I love black and white. I love the synthesis of a picture. In my photographs I try to mix these elements as much as possible, to create something that can excite the viewer.
