Curiosity
This particular shark repeatedly swam up to my camera and exhibited this behavior, often times with only centimetres separating my camera and the shark. Truthfully, if this shark wanted to take my camera, it could have at any moment, and there would have been nothing I could have done to prevent it. The simple fact that I was able to keep my camera without so much as a scratch shows that this young shark was merely trying to figure out what this very strange object sitting in front of it was.

entry description
First impressions can be deceitful. The first impression that many people get from this photo is one of aggression, and it is often thought that the shark is attacking my camera. In reality there is no aggression from the shark whatsoever; the shark was simply investigating my camera, a foreign object in its environment, the only way it knew how: by trying to give it a light test bite. This particular shark repeatedly swam up to my camera and exhibited this behavior, often times with only centimetres separating my camera and the shark.
