I, The Canvas
I've been taking photos since I was about 15 years old. Art was something that I always loved growing up, and I honestly had no idea how to express myself at a young age other than drawing. It wasn't until I moved to Beaumont from Tennessee when I took my first photography class in high school, because it was the only art class that was available. If it weren't for that opportunity, I have no idea where I would be today. From there my passion grew, and I discovered an entirely new way to create and appreciate art.

entry description
“I, the Canvas” is a project that uses the human to represent the canvas rather than putting artwork on paper, a print, or many of the other common ways artists use to display and express their work. These objects all, in one way or another, invoke some sort of common human feeling or emotion. Ironically, while overall I use this project to display different emotions shared by humanity, the people themselves are to only act as blank canvases for these perceptions.about the photographer
